Tokenomics

PEPO is a virtual pet platform that utilizes a unique tokenomics ecosystem to incentivize participation and drive the growth of the platform. At the heart of this ecosystem are three primary asset classes: PEPOs, $PPC, and $PEPO.

PEPOs

PEPOs are virtual pets that can be fed with $PPC to generate in-game experience points and rewards, such as new PEPO eggs and cosmetics. The amount of $PPC generated by a PEPO depends on several factors, including the PEPO's and land's level in the game, the voting results of $vePEPO holders, and incentive programs run by the PEPO team.

$PPC

$PPC is the primary utility token in the PEPO ecosystem, and it is used for a variety of purposes, including feeding PEPOs, crafting cosmetic items, hatching new PEPO eggs, and paying for various pet services such as rentals, naming, and marketplace fees. When $PPC is used, it is deposited into the PEPO treasury, and a portion of it is reallocated to the token reward pool for feeding PEPOs, while the rest is burned to mint $PEPO. The allocation ratio between the token reward pool and $PEPO minting is dynamically adjustable.

$PEPO

$PEPO is the governance token of the PEPO ecosystem, and it can be staked and locked into $vePEPO in order to gain voting rights, which determine the reward pool for each type of PEPO. By staking and locking $PEPO, users can participate in the decision-making process of the platform and shape the direction of its development.

Overall, the PEPO tokenomics ecosystem is designed to create a virtuous cycle of participation and growth, with each asset class serving a specific purpose and contributing to the overall health and sustainability of the platform. By understanding the interplay between these different asset classes, users can better navigate and engage with the PEPO ecosystem, and help drive its continued evolution and success.
